Get a head start on your future
Idaho's Advanced Opportunities program provides funding for eligible students in grades 7–12 to enroll in workforce training, earn industry certifications, and explore career pathways before graduation. Funding may be used toward approved CSI Workforce courses and training programs.
How It Works
Step 1: Verify eligibility with your school counselor or Early College Coordinator.
Step 2: Choose an approved CSI Workforce training program.
Step 3: Submit the required Advanced Opportunities funding paperwork.
Step 4: Register for your course and start building workforce skills.

Apprenticeship Program
Through Advanced Opportunities, eligible high school students can begin apprenticeship training while still in school, completing up to two years of related classroom instruction before graduation. Students who secure employment with a journeyman may also gain valuable on-the-job training, giving them a head start toward a career in high-demand trades such as electrical, plumbing, maintenance, and manufacturing.
