Description

Certified Nursing Assistants are a critical part of the health care system. Often found in hospital and long-term care settings, they are the front line observers of patient health. This is a 48-hour online course is designed to take current C.N.A knowledge to the next level and prepare you for more advanced training such as Psychatric Technician 1.

What Will I Learn?

This course uses the systems of the body to take students down a path of professional development.  While learning about common diseases and learning to identify the common signs and symptoms associate with them, students gain critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills that enable them to advocate for their patients and become active participants of the patient care team.

Who Should Attend?

This course is for employees currently employed as a C.N.A looking to expand on their knowledge and skills to be able to provide care to patients in a variety of facility settings.

Instructor Bio

Savannah Lind

Savannah Lind is an Instructor for the Advanced CNA courses at the College of Southern Idaho. She earned associate's degree in health science and nursing from CSI in 2021. She later earned her BSN from Western Governors University in 2025. She brings experience from working bedside as a CNA and RN on medical/surgical, Labor & Delivery/Postpartum, and Perioperative Units. Savannah is dedicated to enhancing CNA students' prior knowledge and deepening their communication and clinical reasoning skills in the workplace.
