Description
Fire management techniques are constantly changing, changing in response to new science, changes in public policy and safety, advances in technology, and safety and fire prevention lessons learned.
The purpose of this training will be to recruit and train local students in basic fire suppression. This training will provide students with skills and certificates to be qualified as basic firefighters and will give them the tools needed to start their career or seasonal job as a wildland firefighter for the Sawtooth National Forest.
Walk Away With:
- Three National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) certificates: S-130, S-190, and L-180.
- Certification of Completion provided by CSI Workforce Development and Training.
- Ability to apply for wildland fire career opportunities for the United States Forest Service.
