Blueprint reading provides a foundation of knowledge that is appropriate for a variety of skilled trade and technical applications, including carpentry, architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and civil systems. Learn the basics of blueprint reading today with this introductory course that provides a base level of knowledge in the reading and understanding of blueprints pertaining to residential and commercial construction.

Instructor Bio

Instructor, Chris Udy is a certified draftsman who works with the CSI Workforce Development & Training team to teach the professional trade of Construction. He has worked for WESTEC Construction for over six years. He is experienced in drawing blueprints, concrete, framing, tool, and heavy equipment operation. He grew up learning this trade working side-by-side with his dad. Chris is a husband and a father who graduated from CSI in 2013 as one of the highest graduates in his drafting class. Chris felt last year’s Workforce class was a great success and he is looking forward to teaching it once again and helping others in the industry find their passion as he did.
