Tuition & Learning Materials
As part of your enrollment in the Electrical Apprenticeship Program, you are required to pay for tuition, the Mike Holt's Blended Learning package, and specific books needed for the program.

Tuition is paid directly to the College of Southern Idaho (CSI).

Blended Learning Package is purchased separately through Mike Holt's.
- Required Books:National Electrical Code (NEC) Book and Ugly's Electrical Reference Book. These materials will be used throughout all four years of the program. They can be purchased through the CSI Bookstore or any other source of your choice. Book list located below.
⚠️ Important: The blended learning package and tuition must be paid 2 days prior to the start of class. Failure to purchase the Mike Holt's Blended Learning package will result in removal from the program.

Mike Holt's Blended Learning Curriculum
All Mike Holt's Enterprises products are blended.This includes both physical products and a digital student license for our new online learning management system, Capacitor.

* Reminder * If you have an Idaho Launch voucher, you will need to register with our team in person, or over the phone during our regular business hours.
This 4-year program includes:
- 576 classroom hours: 144 hours per year, delivered in a 24-week course
- 8,000 hours of documented work experience: 2,000 hours per year
- Diverse experience in residential, industrial, commercial areas of the electrical industry
The program covers basic trade mathematics, fundamentals of electricity and power distribution, national electrical code requirements, commercial, industrial, and residential wiring requirements, and control theory and other fundamentals.
Entrance Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Work under the constant supervision of a licensed Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician
- Apply for Apprentice Electrical License through the State Electrical Bureau: Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses

Books are not included in the program tuition.
