Instructor Bio
Westin Fisher is a Southern Idaho native and drafting professional with three years of experience in technical drawing and blueprint interpretation. He first began his career in the skilled trades by completing the HVAC program at the College of Southern Idaho (CSI). Here he developed a strong foundation in mechanical systems.
Westin went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years as an electronics technician, where he regularly worked with complex wiring diagrams and technical schematics to maintain and repair advanced electronic systems. He is a combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, and was an instructor for the Marine Corps Communications Electronics School. His military background sharpened his attention to detail and deepened his understanding of technical communication and troubleshooting.
Following his service, Westin transitioned into drafting, where he combines hands-on trade experience with precision technical design. He currently uses these skills to design transmission lines and their components, applying both practical field knowledge and precise technical drafting to support engineering and infrastructure projects.
