This course teaches essential skills and safety protocols for administering medications in assisted living, as required by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

This course covers legal requirements, medical terminology, and the hands-on skills needed to assist a person in consuming medications. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare requires this training for health care employees working in assisted living facilities.
Course Format
The Hybrid course includes two parts:
- Online Portion (self-paced) – Completed through Canvas during the week before your in-person skills check-off. You will receive Canvas login instructions via email once you are registered.
- In-Person Skills Check-Off – Held at the CSI Twin Falls campus the Monday after the course starts.
You will receive an email reminder two days before the online portion begins. No additional reminders are sent, so please mark your calendar and plan ahead.
