Description

Certified Family Homes (CFH) provide a safe, family-style living environment for adults who need some assistance with the activities of daily living but do not require a more restrictive institutional setting.

 

What Will I Learn?

This course is designed to provide the:

  • Basic medication awareness
  • Infection control skills
  • Knowledge required to meet CFH qualifications.

Walk Away With

After successful completion of this course, participants who have met the CFH Basic Medication and Infection Control course requirements will be eligible to apply as a CFH caregiver.

Who Should Attend?

This course is for anyone who is working with the Department of Health and Welfare to become Certified Family Home Caregivers.

Instructor Bio

Sue Jones
Sue Jones has been a professional nurse for 44 years here in the Magic Valley. During her career, she has worked for Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital, Idaho Home Health & Hospice, St. Alphonsus, and the College of Southern Idaho. She finds great satisfaction in teaching the CNA course at both the Twin Falls and Burley campuses. Sue demonstrates her passion for students as an adviser for the HOSA Future Health Professionals (CSI chapter) and currently serves as the treasurer for the Idaho State Board of HOSA. Sue and her husband raised their four sons in Twin Falls and are now enjoying their 10 grandchildren.
