What Will I Learn?

This continuing education course is designed to present a naturopathic approach to diagnosis and offers distinct therapeutic methods and modalities from various topics germane to practice including physical medicine, clinical syndromes, supplements, nutrition, labs, OTC medications and mental health.

The course is a 160 CE credit/clock hour program covering a variety of topics germane to natural health care practice, and separated into 13 modules as follows:
Module 1: Naturopathic Physical Medicine (12 hours)
Module 2: Physical Diagnosis and Clinical Syndromes (14 hours)
Module 3: Pharmacognosy Part I (12 hours)
Module 4: Pharmacognosy Part II (12 hours)
Module 5: Pharmacognosy Part III (12 hours)
Module 6: Homeopathic Material Medical Part I (12 hours)
Module 7: Homeopathic Material Medical Part II (12 hours)
Module 8: Homeopathic Material Medical Part III (12 hours)
Module 9: Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (14 hours)
Module 10: Traditional Chinese Medicine (12 hours)
Module 11: OTC Medications (12 hours)
Module 12: Laboratory Medicine (12 hours)
Module 13: Mental Health (12 hours)
Continuing education hours are not awarded for academic credit. Continuing education requirements vary from state to state and by profession. It is the responsibility of individuals earning these continuing education hours to verify with their licensing or accrediting body that the hours will be accepted.

Each module is accompanied by an exam and is passed with a grade of at least 80%. All modules must be passed to complete this program.

Walk Away With:

Certificate of satisfactory completion of a 160 CE credit/clock hour course and transcript.

Who Should Attend?

This course is intended for currently licensed medical doctors, osteopathic doctors, chiropractors, podiatrists, dentists and nurse practitioners.

Instructor Bio

Dr. Larry V. (Ben) Hicks has been working in the education field since 2005. He holds various degrees including Doctor of Naturopathy, Doctor of Medical Sciences (Psychiatry and Infusion Pharmacology), Doctor of Medicine (Executive) and Master of Physician Assistant Studies. He currently works in Idaho providing holistic psychiatry in the outpatient setting.

Dr. Laurence V. Hicks has been involved in education since 1979. He holds multiple degrees including Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Medicine (Executive), Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, and Doctor of Chiropractic. He currently works in Idaho providing family practice and pain management services.
