Description

This is the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid and CPR with AED course. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to perform basic first aid and CPR and use an AED in emergency situations with an emphasis on pediatric response delivery.

What Will I Learn?

  • Bleeding and bandaging
  • Allergic reactions
  • How to use an epinephrine pen
  • Asthma
  • Drowning
  • Bites and stings
  • Burns
  • Choking
  • CPR delivery for adults, infants, and children with proper use of an AED device

Walk Away With

Students who successfully complete the Pediatric skills check-off test will be issued a Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification via an e-card from the American Heart Association.

Who Should Attend?

This certification is open to the general public and is generally required or strongly encouraged for anyone working in a position that involves supervising infants and children.

Samantha Brizee

Sam Graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. She had over 20,000 hours of hands on experience with sports medicine. She has worked with Semi-pro to middle school athletes. She has had experience working with hockey, football, softball, baseball, wrestling, basketball, soccer, track & field, swimming, cross country, diving, volleyball, golf, cheer, and dance. She had worked several special events such as Rodeo, Hockey, basketball, and volleyball tournaments.
